Normal topicReplace action

Hi there,

I'm having an issue with the replace action. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

I have the following title for a song for example:
Title: “Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today”

Note that the accents are included in the Title field

I've made an action with the following function: Replace (The purpose of this function is to find text in one or more fields and to replace it with other, possibly empty, text.)

Replace: ″|“|”
With: "
Or matching (| as separator): <checked>

Result of the action against the song:
Title: "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today”

As you can see, the second accent was not replaced by "

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks,
Nick

OR matching does not replace multiple patterns. Or matching searches for each supplied pattern and operates on the first pattern it matches, ignoring the others. If you actually want to replace multiple patterns, you will have to use multiple Replace statements.

OR matching was initially designed to find the first match of a number of potential instances. For example: feat. | featuring | ft., where only one of the list would likely be matched.

Ok, I understand.
I added multiple replace actions as you proposed and it's working fine.

Thanks,
Nick
