Hello! What would be the best method to swap all meta data between two files?

Hmm.... swap or copy?

1) If you want to copy metadata from one file to another.
- Set the Yate Open Mode to Playlist.
- drag over the two files involved in the copy.
- depending on the order of the files do an Actions>Copy Metadata>Top to Bottom or Actions>Copy Metadata Bottom to Top

2) If you want to copy the metadata from one rip of an album to a newer better rip (very common):
- Set the Open Mode (File menu) to Album if each release is in its own folder, or for finer control to Playlist
- Set the Open Mode to "Add to the File List"
- drag over the first album
- drag over the second
- if necessary drag and drop the tracks so that one album is entirely at the top.
- ensure the tracks in each album are ordered the same.
- do the appropriate Actions>Copy Metadata>.... function

3) If you really want to swap the metadata between two tracks:
- on File-1 do a File>Export (with all metadata selected when prompted)
- on File-2 do a File>Export (with all metadata selected when prompted)
- on File-1 do a File>Import (with all metadata selected) on File-2's export
- on File-2 do a File>Import (with all metadata selected) on File-1's export

.... and this can all be done via actions 🙂

Swap. Export and Import worked perfectly. Thank you!
