Normal topicDoes "Show in iTunes Playlist" work as intended?

I have about 6000 files linked to iTunes and selected in Yate, I would like to create a playlist of these files in iTunes.
however, yate only copies over two of the 6000 tracks to the playlist.

Does anyone know what the proper steps would be in order to create the playlist with all the selected files in Yate?

Show in iTunes Playlist is not intended to create a playlist. It is intended to show a complete album in iTunes (only one album). We wanted a means of quickly displaying all the tracks in an album in iTunes and there was no programmatic means of doing this so that the tracks would be displayed together in the Music library. We solved the display issue by creating a dummy playlist and copying the tracks references to the playlist.

Yate has no built in method to add tracks to an iTunes playlist. However you can do the following:

- create a one line action which contains a 'Create m3u' function
- in Yate select the tracks you want to be in the playlist. (They do not have to be linked)
- put Yate in Playlist Mode (File>Open Mode...)
- run the action
- choose a name for the file being created
- from the Finder drag the created file (name.m3u or name.m3u8) into iTunes
- if you have a large iTunes library iTunes will lock up but it will recover
- when iTunes recovers you should have playlist called the name of the file you created.

All of the above being said I like the idea of extending the 'Show in iTunes-Playlist' functionality to actually create a playlist of everything selected. I'll add it to the list.
