Hi guys,
Just purchased Yaty and most of the things are going smoothly. After being a Tag & Rename (Windows) user for over 6 years, I seems that Yate is the app to go for.

Question: Is there anyway to set track number based on the order of the files from up to down? I tried to find some functions but didn't find anything.
All help is highly appreciated.

Yes there is. Load the tracks in Yate. Drag and drop the tracks to set your order. Select all the tracks. Do a:

Actions> Renumber Tracks>From... enter 1

This will renumber all the tracks (top to bottom) from 1. This is the only renumber mode which ignores containing albums..

Note that this will not calculate the Total Tracks field. While the files are still selected, you can manually set Tracks Of to the highest number. The Actions>Calculate Track Of methods all process albums and/or discs.

I've uploaded an action called 'Renumber by Position' which does the same. It'll be the latest sample action on the resources page available from the Help menu. If you want to have it automatically select all loaded files you can set it do so in the Action Manager.
