When I rename an action action_a to action_aa, action_b, which runs action_a can not be run any more, because it cannot find action_a.

The same is happening with rename templates. If I use a rename template in my action, it cannot be found anymore, if I rename the rename template.

It would be really nice, if the actions would update themselves.

This one comes down to how most people would like to see it work. Currently if you rename action_a to action_aa then create a new action called action_a, your action_b will run the new action_a. It can't work both ways. The same is true for rename templates and search templates.

The question is, do users want it to work like a file system where action functions refer to 'the entity with the name' as opposed to simply 'the name'?

Let me think it over and maybe we'll hear addition opinions.

I think that’s the way most users would expect it to work.
