Normal topicYate Basics - Viewing Artwork

Hi,

How do I view artwork from multiple folders (ie CD1, CD2, CD3 or Track 1, 2, 3 etc) at the same time.

I know it's in preferences somewhere as I've accidentally set it up before.

Please assist.

Thank you. (Sorry to be a pain - I guess I just could't see the forest for the trees. ) 🙂

No problem. As one of our long time users is fond of saying..."There's a lot of knobs in Yate" 🙂

I wondered if you may be able to help further?

Under the 'Sorting' header. Is there a way to automatically fill the 'Sort Artist' sub-header & 'Sort Album Artist' sub-header with the same content as 'Album Artist' without having to copy & paste into each of those two sub-headers

..... and the same principle with 'Sort Album' sub-header and 'Album'?

I hope you might be able to help.

Thank you.

You can do it in a two line action:

Copy the Album Artist field to the Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist fields
Copy the Album field to the Sort Album field

I'd upload the action for you but I'm not near my Mac running the released version of Yate. I'm running the upcoming v4.1 🙂

Once you have the action built you can assign it a keyboard shortcut or map it to a toolbar button.

Each used statement is a Copy statement. When you create it, you'll note that the Copy statement has options to copy only if the destination fields are empty and/or only if the source field is not empty.

In case you're interested, the resources web page has an action called 'Produce Sort Artist Field' Which fills Sort Artist from Artist by flipping the names.
