Embed image file in directory into FLAC files in same directory?

I have many albums, each in its own folder, and each folder has an image file in it.

What I need is an action that will go through each subfolder from a root folder, find the jpg image in that folder, and embed that image in the FLAC files of that folder.

The images have all different names - not cover.jpg - that's how these purchases are downloaded by default.

If there are more than one image (not my case but generally speaking), I am cool with embedding all of the found jpgs in the FLAC files, but picking the first jpg found is cool with me.

Does such an action already exist? I looked but couldn't find anything like this.

Hi I've posted a tiny two line action which does what you want. It imports all artwork into all selected files or may be run through the Batch Processor. The action is named Import All Artwork in Folder and is on the resources page.

To run through the Batch Processor.

- Actions>Batch Processor Wizard
- from the drop down control choose Import All Artwork in Folder
- hit Next
- drag over your root folder
- hit Next
- Auto Save Files MUST be checked.
- Verbose Log is optional although I always recommend it.
- hit Start

The action stores the images to all supported audio file types. If you want to restrict it to only import to FLAC files let me know and I'll update the action.

Tried this but got an expected error. Let me explain...

I have AIFF files purchased and downloaded from Qobuz. I keep a secondary FLAC version of this library transcoded to FLAC by JRiver MC 27. MC 27 is corrupting the artwork when it transcodes these files (XLD does not have this problem).

So what I want to do is replace the (corrupted) artwork in the files with the image in the directory. The problem is Yate produces an error because it bumps into the corrupted artwork. If possible, I would like Yate to skip over this error and replace the image file. If you added a checkbox that said "replace artwork already embedded" and it would skip the error, that would be great.

No problem. Do you want to remove all embedded artwork or only corrupt artwork?

Before importing, do you want to remove all embedded artwork or only corrupt artwork?

To make it simple, just remove the corrupt artwork.

But it would be great if it could be an option of just removing the corrupt and adding files, or replacing all artwork (corrupt or not) with the image file(s) in the directory.
