Normal topicDVD Metadata from Discogs

Often I will rip a DVD for its audio content and then use Yate to pull the Discogs metadata into the ripped tracks.

I recently did this for Tortoise’s DVD from A Lazarus Taxon: https://www.discogs.com/Tortoise-A-Lazarus-Taxon/release/764150

I’m wondering why the Discogs importer in Yate doesn’t pull the metadata for tracks DVD-1 through DVD-6.

May not be a bug per se (I’m in the software biz so I use that term with caution - especially with API integrations.

Thanks!
Adam

See what media types you have specified in Preferences-Discogs-Advanced-Ignored Media

I can't remember off the top of my head what the defaults are.

I removed all the options in that setting but I’m still seeing the same in the wizard window - only tracks DVD-7 through DVD-11. For what it is worth I cleared out the Ignored Media and when I quit and reopen it still says “blu-ray,dvd,video”

Okay I'll have to look at the raw dump and see what's in there.

Did you modify the preferences with the wizard open or closed. I just tried it and I'm seeing all DVDs. I just entered 764150 as the ID in the DIscogs Wizard's search panel.

I just verified… When I open Yate and clear out the Ignored Media when I quit and reopen it still says “blu-ray,dvd,video”.

Oops. That's a bug. I should be able to shoehorn the fix into tomorrow's release. Thanks for catching this.

The issue is with Apple not retaining empty values for settings which are initially not empty. 🙁

If you want to test some more today simply put any garbage value into the field as opposed to leaving it empty. A single comma will do the trick.
