Hello, loving Yate!! It is so powerful with the actions and replacements. Saves me SO MUCH TIME!!! Thank you. I have been putting the app through the paces during the trial period (thank you for giving a real trial instead of a limited function trial). One thing I like to do during my editing is check the cover art quality. I have a 24" monitor and when stretching the app it makes the comments box very large and the artwork stays small. Since you have the disclosure triangle alongside each field you can still open comments to a larger view if desired. Below are a couple of pics showing the current interface and my tweak idea. This way you can see the main tags and large artwork without switching tabs.

Also, since the tweak would place the artwork in a field, could you allow pasting in cover art? I sometimes have the artwork on the clipboard and it is faster than dragging and dropping the artwork.

Thanks for creating a great app.

Current View is first image.

Revised Suggestion is second image.

This is a good idea. I usually dislike dynamically rearranging the artwork but I'm already doing it for the thumbnail.

I'll put it in our v3.0 idea list and we'll see where the UI ends up moving. 🙂

I'll look into being able to paste the artwork but I seem to remember that I had issues with the nature of how Yate caches the artwork. I'll take another look.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Speaking of v3.0, is this something that is on the near horizon and how do you handle updates as far a price?

v3.0 is a work in progress. There will be a v2.5.1 shortly.

Updates are free 🙂

Hello, i also suggest to change add the artwork as the revised suggestion (maybe slightly smaller) and also adding the important field mime type (resolution) ang size.
And if it is easier to keep the fields like the actual ones, if there was the MIME fields with its precious informations under the little artwork field, it would be very great
Or as i have suggested previously, to detach the artwork window. This systematic info/artwork switch is for me the only problem i have with your fabulous software.
Thank you

I'm working on allowing users to define their own custom panels in v3.0. The proposed artwork UI components which can be added are:

The image associated with the first artwork item
The image and metadata associated with the first artwork item

I don't have a proposed release date yet.....but it is going well. The ongoing work on v3.0 explains the much smaller releases which have been coming out lately.

Just in case you think I've forgotten about you. v3 is a reality and it's coming later this summer. 🙂
