Is it possible to create some kind action to copy each of the image files on the right (1st screenshot) into the folder with the corresponding number on the left?

All the files exist with the main folder that holds all the tracks, (as you can see from the address string along the bottom of both windows), but it seems like it might be more of a Finder action than something Yate can do.

So 'Cover_With_Text_##.jpg' goes into:

../../{folder ending with _##}

For 01 'Cover_With_Text_01.jpg' would go into 'Karajan_EMI_V1_01'? Is that correct?

That is correct, yes.

The action can be found at:

https://2manyrobots.com/actions/Move-Image-Files-Based-on-Names.zip

There are almost no constraints. All image files are matched as long as they end in _# where # can be any sequence of decimal digits. An attempt is made to match a folder two levels up which ends with _# which is the same sequence as on an image file.

The first line of the action contains additional information.

That's amazing, thanks.

Just can't tell you how much I (& everyone else on here, probably) appreciate all these things you make for us!

I'm looking at Apple's "Automator" to try & create some Finder actions to save you a lot of ball ache. Of course, I can't actually make it do what I want to do yet, but it's early days! 😆
