There are still subtle differences. Roon seems to treat the Single Atom method somewhat differently than the other two.

When Single Atom/ Multiple Data or Mult[b]iple Atoms is selected, Roon might treat them as both separate and joined artists. You can see this snippet from your screenshot. This doesn't happen for Single Atom.

Regardless, allowing the encoding modes to be enabled along with Roon seems to be benign. I can't see any harm in allowing it. This will be in the upcoming v9.2 as the patch only involves commenting out part of one line of code.
