Very Hot topicUsing Track Names & Numbers to generate file names

Thanks. Attached is how the file hierarchy looks, with each disc's folder containing two cover images, the "version a" being the one I'm using. (Ignore the fact that the "covers" folder I selected. I'm not using anything in there.)

Does that help?

So there are two jpg files in the same folder as the tracks. There's also a Covers folder which contains a pdf. Which or all are you interested in importing?

Sorry I looked at the screen shot and missed the description. I get it. I'll let you know when the action is ready.

Might be worth noting that I can easily remove all of that extra stuff & just leave the one JPG if it makes a difference.

Turns out because your pattern is so specific that I could do it in one line. From what I can see the only requirement is a jpg image where the filename contains an 'a'. The primary name can't contain an 'a' 🙂

Download the action at:

https://2manyrobots.com/actions/ExtractSpecificArtworkfromFolder.zip

Drag the zip file into the main window's file list area. You'll now have an action named Extract Specific Artwork from Folder. You can run the action via Actions>User Defined>Extract Specific Artwork from Folder.

Load all the files in the box set or simply one disc. Select all files ... or at a minimum all files from one disc. Try it first with one disc. Run the action.

A few points which can be changed if you so wish:

- older artwork in the files is not removed.
- if you specified maximum image dimensions in Preferences-Artwork, the imported images will be scaled down if necessary.
- the files are not saved. You can have a look at the results of the import.
- if you want to save the files do a Save.
- if you do not want to save the files, do a File>Revert

Let me know how it goes or if you need anything changed.
