There's really not much that can be done here. By default Yate gets rid of : and / characters when renaming. All of the APIs treat / as a path component separator. Some of Apple's APIs return : for / in a filename ... which is happening here. Further while Apple may return a : for a / it almost never locates a file containing a / or : when accessing it.

There is no easy fix for this. The simplest answer is to never use : or / in filenames on a Mac. 😥

No problem, I rename those folders and don't use it again, what are you using instead there's also AC/DC?

I use -

You do not have to change the metadata in the artist or any other field. Yate will automatically change : and / characters whenever you rename or move files. The replacement text is specified in Preferences-General-Basic Invalid character substitution

Thanks, that's what I also ended up using I'm now in the process of adding the tag and everything works.
